Where it all began.
My dad inherited an old-fashioned copper rain gauge from his father in 1988. He has been recording rainfall and weather data ever since and has never missed a day. Recordings were done manually in a notepad which grew in a collection of notepads over time. I created a website in 2021 to log this data and provide some interesting graphs and statistics to visualise his data.
After a lot of data input, over 12,000 days worth, and a bit of magical code later Weather Book was born!
